5 Traits I Want to Improve In Myself
Characteristics aren’t permanent. Just because you once were passionate doesn’t make you a passionate person. We can try to keep them close to our hearts, but valuable character traits take lots of work and upkeep to sustain. I have posted here 5 traits that I feel need some work and upkeep.
Confidence
I’m working on having more confidence in the things that I do. I do not aspire to arrogance or hubris, but instead a proper balance of confidence and humility. I want to have more self-confidence in my actions without closing my mind off to other possible solutions.
Design/Attention to detail
When looking over a work, whether it is a piece of art, or a piece of professional work, the things I most appreciate are the details. The tiny additions that show the person truly worked hard to make their work identifiably theirs. I aspire to further understand how to incorporate a higher level of detail into my work.
Passion
Passion is the essence of my being. It drives everything I do, and the more I have of it the better I can operate. I am constantly looking for ways to be more passionate about everything around me, and ways to express that passion valuably.
Creativity
Creativity is one of the best ways to express personal passions into the world. I don’t want to feel boxed in by normal modes of thought, because the most interesting ones are those that are outside. Creativity allows us to see familiar subjects with new perspectives. I want to be more capable of creative thought, so I write, draw, create as much as I can to improve my creativity.
Articulation
Right up there next to passion, being able to express ideas across different perspectives is so important to me. I have always been fascinated by the ability of language to assist people in seeing the world through another’s eyes. I strive every day to observe how others use their words and perspectives to effect change in our world.
