I am interested in being a part of the team at PandaDoc, so I created a small project to give in the hopes that it will add value.
Whenever I do a value proposition for a company I read through their website, look over all of their social media accounts and content, and conduct further research. Next, I try to find somewhere amongst all of that content where I could possibly add value. As a bonus, I always try to learn something while making the project if I can.
In the case of PandaDoc, I conducted my research as normal and originally thought to help with Instagram content, or to collect and analyze customer reviews for important trends. However, I could not find any tangible area where these particular projects could actually add value. PandaDoc has an active and engaging instagram, and a breadth of statistics and data available about customer success and tangible areas of value.
After watching a few of their Youtube videos, I noticed that they have well produced and engaging content. However, some of these videos I watched ended with a static image of their logo, and this gave me an idea. The logo itself already lends itself to motion, so why not animate it?
This kind of animated logo could be used in all video and social media materials. I did some research on animated logos and found from multiple sources that said that companies with animated logos have higher retention rates, better first impressions, etc.
I decided that I wanted to make an animated logo for PandaDoc to use in their social media and promotional materials. The only problem was that I had never animated anything in my whole life. So, I downloaded Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, and spent some time teaching myself how to use them to make logo animations. After a couple of hours, I gained enough capability to complete the project.
After creating the animation, I used a screen recording and video editing software called Screenflow to create a mock-up of what one of their videos would look like with my new animation at the end.
I hope that any part of this project provides value to PandaDoc. In any case, I learned a couple of cool new skills to practice and use in the business world. If anyone at PandaDoc would like to talk to me further about the project, or about my capability to be a valuable employee in general, I would be happy to discuss further.
